VieTE - Vienna Trust Emergence Framework
 
 
General

 

A large amount of social networks and collaboration platforms are realized as service-oriented systems enabling flexible compositions of services and support of interactions. Usually, interactions between entities in such systems do not only span supporting software services, but also human actors, participating in the network. A hybrid service system is therefore composed of human and software services. In open eco-systems where massive collaborations between thousands of humans and services take place, flexibly joining and leaving the environment, their interactions are highly dynamic and often influenced by the role and reputation of collaboration partners. Therefore, introducing the notion of trust in such environments can help to improve the overall benefit of social systems and people’s collaboration performance.

The research framework VieTE aims at covering, models, algorithms and architectures that support the management of trust in such hybrid service systems environments. In particular VieTE will deal with
