Overview

Over-provisioning or manual, coarse-grained resource allocation in Clouds is highly unsatisfying w.r.t. application performance and costs. We need to enable the commitment of just the right amount of resources based on application demand, performance and requirements, resulting in optimal use of cloud resources and reducing administrative costs. The FP7 EU CELAR project aims to provide multi-grained, elastic resource provisioning for cloud applications in an automated manner.

CELAR is funded by the European Comission through the Seventh Framework Programme EU FP7 Grant agreement no: 317790.
