Short CV

Roman Khazankin received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in informatics from Ufa State Aircraft Technical University (Russia) in 2007. He made his diploma thesis in cooperation with Institute of Automation, Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, TU Dresden. Currently he is a PhD student at the Distributed Systems Group, Information Systems Institute, Vienna University of Technology. During the study in Russia he participated in various commercial projects concerned with information systems (accounting systems) and internet technologies (web-sites, e-shops, on-line accounting) as software developer and architect, adoption coordinator.

Interests and hobbies

Beside information systems and internet technologies I also feel attraction to semantic technologies (Ontologies, RDF/OWL, etc.)

Things that I like beside IT: travel, bike, snowboard, billiard, ping-pong, photography, whatever it is with a good company :)
