The goal of this assignment is to analyze opportunities and challenges when combining mobile computing, social computing and cloud computing. Three major points: - mobile computing enables people performing activities and utilizing services on the move - social computing not only support social interactions via services but also empower people's capability to perform activities - cloud computing enables elastic, unlimited, on-demand services. We seek for understanding some opportunities and challenges via use cases, business models, technical issues in the intersection of three above-mentioned areas. E.g., - data concerns and compliance in cloud computing systems when supporting social interaction on the move (e.g., user moves around in the world, accesses and stores cloud service/data) - service provisioning in the cloud for mass social interactions (e.g., on-demand social-aware service provisioning for people in a mass demonstration lasting in a week) - social-aware cloud service discovery on the move - etc. This assignment is a self-exploratory assignment. You should try to find relevant materials discussing the intersection of mobile computing, social computing and cloud computing and to link these discussions with our previous lectures and discussions on cloud architecture, service compatibility, and data concerns.
